The Plastic View informal settlement in the east of Pretoria has 9,000 inhabitants. A mega church partner operates a medical clinic there and your donations provided baby formula and sanitary products for 55 mothers who came to the clinic for help.
In Soshanguve, a township of half a million people north of Pretoria, Oupa Manganye and his team distribute thousands of meals and hundreds of Bibles – a real lifeline in an economy in recession.
Our close Disciple-Making Movement partner, Pastor Willem Lindeque and his church, have been sourcing and distributing food parcels to no less than 8 impoverished townships in and around Johannesburg. He also distributed hundreds of Bibles in various indigenous languages to go with the food parcels.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership that continues to make this relief possible in places like Zululand, Cape Town and Johannesburg where many have lost their livelihood. We have given 45 000 meals to families in need, along with 2000 Bibles.
