In July 2021, KwaZulu-Natal was gripped by a frenzy of looting, riots and arson. These riots were deliberately orchestrated to bring political unrest and instability. Many businesses were looted, a large number being completely destroyed. Thousands of people lost their jobs and the effects of this heart-breaking week will be felt by South Africans for many years to come.

In the midst of this, Two Four Eight was able to mobilize food parcels and financial support. Our leaders on the ground were able to identify some of the worst situations, and over 2,500 families received much needed food parcels. It has been exciting to see the collaboration between churches, organizations, as well as donors and volunteers to see the kingdom of God in action.

Thank you to so many of you who contributed to this initiative.
